Welcome to The Gulf Coast Christian Center

The Gulf Coast Christian Center has been serving the people of Brazoria County for over 60 years. Pastor B.B. and Velma Hankins came to West Columbia in 1954 and pastored the church for 49 years. They started with a handful of people and today it has grown to be a church of several hundred members. Pastors Bob and Candy Hankins became Senior Pastors in 2003 and have continued with the vision which was started by Pastors B.B. and Velma Hankins. Our church is multi-cultural and welcomes all people. The foundations of the Gulf Coast Christian Center are prayer, evangelism, discipleship and missions. We have a legacy of training and sending many of our members into full time ministry over our 60 year history. Our Purpose is to fulfill the Great Commisssion of Preaching the Gospel in all the World and Training Disciples here and abroad. We practice the 5 New Testament Purposes for the church that are found in the Book of Acts. They are Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Fellowship and Ministry.
